Braised Pork and Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce

Pork belly 600 g [with skin, cut into pieces]
Chinese mushroom(s) 10 pcs [soaked and drained]
Ginger (s) 5 slices
Green onion(s) 5 pcs [sectioned]


Premium Oyster Sauce 4 tbsp
Five-spice powder 1/4 tsp
Water 750 ml

  1. Cook pork belly, ginger and green onions in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.  Drain again and set aside.
  2. Saute pork belly and Chinese mushrooms in 1 tbsp oil until fragrant. Add seasoning mix and boil. Turn to low heat and cook for about 1 ½ hours until tender.
