t and Lee Kum Kee family members were invited by Lifeline Express to be guests of the charity dinner on 12 October, 2010.   Mr. and Mrs. Lee Man Tat donated HKD 1,150,000 from “Lee Man Tat and Choi May Ling Charitable Foundation” to fund the establishment of Lifeline Express “Lee Kum Kee Cataract Treatment Centre” in Ziyang Province, Sichuan and to support Lifeline Express providing surgery to poor cataract patients in Mainland China.   Guests of the charity dinner included President of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong Mrs. Rita Fan Hsu Lai Tai, , Vice Health Minister of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Yin Li, , Secretary for Food and Health of Hong Kong Mr. Chow Yat Ngok,  and Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Mr. Chan Ka Keung, . To support the charity dinner, Mr. David Lee sang a song on the stage to raise fund and touched the heart of each guest.   Partnering with Lifeline Express is one of the Lee Kum Kee’s contributions to the society. In addition to the donations to this charity dinner, Lee Kum Kee participated in Lifeline Express Heilongjiang Expedition in August this year to raise fund for the disadvantaged.   ......

Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades (HK FORT) to be the speaker at Hong Kong Polytechnic University to share with representatives from enterprises in food and sauce industry the secret of Lee Kum Kee’s success – “Establish a Happy Culture at Home and at Work”. Mr. Lee discussed with participants how to turn a family business to a global enterprise through setting up a family council to facilitate the enterprise development, practising “Reversed Triangle” and “Auto-pilot” management models, and attention to employees’ happiness.
